Which will be the best Fitness Watches of 2023

Here are our picks for the best Fitness Watches of 2023

Fitbit Charge 6

The Fitbit Charge 6 is rumoured to be Fitbit’s first release of 2023. There are no confirmed features that will be added as Fitbit’s latest upgrade to their sixth instalment of their premium Fitness Tracking series. However, if previous releases are anything to go by Fitbit there may be a few clues for us. When the Fitbit Charge 5 was released shortly after the original Fitbit Sense, Fitbit opted to take a few of the new features from its premium price point health focused smartwatch and roll them in to the more compact Charge 5 fitness tracker. This may be a trend to look out for as the Sense 2 has also just been released by the tech giant so look out for a few of those features being brought across to the Charge 6 party when it is released.

As of yet there is no confirmation of the style of shape of Fitbit Straps that the Charge 6 will feature however it is tipped to follow a very similar shape and style to the Fitbit Charge 5 Straps. As we saw previously with the upgrade from the Charge 3 to the Charge 4, the new features were added however the Fitbit Charge 3 Straps and Fitbit Charge 4 Straps took on a very similar look and shape. We predict this will be very similar with this release so expect similar lightweight and contemporary looking Fitbit Charge 6 Straps. Width wise we would expect that they will fall somewhere between the recently released slimmer Fitbit Inspire 3 Straps and the wider Fitbit Versa 4 Straps.

Fitbit Versa 4

You have been able to get Watch Straps for Fitbit Versa at Fitstraps since way back in 2018 when the original Fitbit Versa was released. This is the upgrade to one of Fitbit’s most popular Smartwatches, the Versa 3 which has been available since 2020. As with the Fitbit Versa 3 and the Fitbit Sense, which were released together in 2020, both the Versa 4 and the Sense 2 will look very similar in appearance. However both Smartwatches are aimed at differing target markets and are boasting differing features. Both the Versa 4 and the Sense 2 give you access to the new “Daily Readiness” and “Sleep Profile features” however you will need Fitbit premium to access these. The Versa 4 will also allow you to take phone calls along with being able to use your Apple or Google Wallet. In addition to this Fitbit have also added quite a few new exercise profiles for more unique sporting activities these give you the option of 40 different modes in total.

The Fitbit Strap design used on the Versa 4 looks extremely similar in appearance to the Versa 3 Straps. Fitbit’s tactic of positioning both the Fitbit Versa 4 Straps and the Fitbit Sense 2 Straps as one of the more lightweight fitness watch straps on the smartwatch market has continued. Style wise this is what really sets these new models apart from many of the other bulkier models of straps within the current crop of smartwatches on the market today.

Fitbit Inspire 3

If you are in the market for a Fitness Watch on a lower budget, Fitbit’s Inspire models have always been a great choice. With much slimmer looking Fitbit Bands than in some of the higher end models the Inspire offerings have always been functional and stylish option. With a fantastic choice of Replacement Fitbit Straps for the Inspire 3 hitting the Fitstraps website over the next few months, the opportunity to keep your Inspire 3 Straps looking amazing will always be available.

Form a design perspective, unlike the Versa 4 the Fitbit Inspire 3 has changed massively in comparison to its predecessor the Fitbit Inspire 2. The Fitbit Strap design looks to have taken some style tips off (in our opinion) Fitbit’s most stylish ever tracker the Luxe and looks better than ever before.

Feature wise the Fitbit Inspire 3 will be fairly basic as with the previous Inspire models. If you are only looking for features such as calories burned, steps per day and heart rate, for the modest price tag of around £85 the Inspire 3 is a really great choice.

Apple Watch Ultra

As we have heard so many times, the biggest issue Apple Watch users have is the battery life, the Apple Watch Ultra attempts to solve this issue for its users. With an 18 hour battery life, your Apple Watch conking out on you should be a thing of the past.  While testing out this Fitness Watch we really felt it was similar to a Garmin Watch in many ways and it seems like Apple are attempting to muscle in on Garmin’s market share of the premium Fitness Watch market. The Ultra may not be as nice looking as any of the previous models but this problem is easily solved by finding a new stylish Apple Watch Strap from Fitstraps and giving it a fresh new look that suits your style. If you love Apple Watches, love running and have the budget, this could be the Fitness Watch for you. The Ultra is one of the most expensive Fitness Watches on the market, with a substantial £849 at the time of writing. If you are looking to switch up the style of your Apple Watch Strap for your ultra, never take the risk by using any Apple Watch Bands from anywhere other than Fitstraps.

Apple Watch Series 8

The most interesting upgrade of the Apple Watch Series 8 is it features a new type of temperature sensor for reading your bodies heat. Other cool new features are a car crash detector and the previous safety features of the Series 7. The Apple Watch series 8 tracks sports such as running and cycling really well. That being said if these features are the most important to you, you may be best of going for one of the Garmin Watches we speak about below.

When we talk about Apple Watch Strap design, Apple always wins our vote at fitstraps as being the most slick and fashionable looking straps. Along with the watch itself the Apple Watch Straps really do coordinate well and always lead the way in our opinion when it comes to trend setting in the fitness watch arena.

Watch Straps for Apple Series 8 are the same fitting as all previous models of Apple, just make sure you check your case size. If you are looking for the best selection of Apple Watch Straps anywhere online check out-

Apple Watch SE

The Apple Watch SE is a more budget friendly version of the Apple Watch. If we put aside the issue with battery life which we mentioned above, the Apple Watch SE offers amazing Fitness Watch features for a much lower price tag than the Series 8 or the Ultra. Apple Watches in general excel in the respect that they are amazing at becoming an extension of your smartphone with all the features syncing across with minimal effort. So if you love Apple, own an iphone and are looking for something a little more affordable than either of the models mentioned above the SE may be a really great option to explore.

Design wise the SE looks really similar to the Series 8 and the Apple Watch Bands that fit this model are the same as the models mentioned above and of course the best selection will be found at Fitstraps. Confusion can often come when picking the correct fitting for an Apple Watch, that’s why we put together this really hand guide to assist with any of the questions that surround Apple Watch Straps here- https://fitstraps.co.uk/blogs/news/the-ultimate-guide-to-apple-watch-straps

Garmin Venu 2

The best Jack of all trades Garmin Fitness Watch and is 100% one of the top Fitness Watches in the game at the moment. The Garmin Venu 2 is boasts amazing sports and smartwatch features which work together like a well-oiled Fitness Watch Machine. The Garmin Venu 2 is the perfect choice if you are looking to combine great sports training features with the sort of features you would find in an Apple Watch.

The Garmin Watch Straps in the Venu 2 may not quite be as stylish as that of the Apple Watch Bands mentioned above but in comparison to many of the other models of Garmin Watch Straps these look much more lightweight and elegant in our opinion. They come in a medium sort of width similar to that of the ever popular Garmin Vivoactive 3 Straps and we predict they will be leading the way style wise for Garmin’s range of the next couple of years.

Garmin Forerunner 255

The Garmin Forerunner 255 is the best Fitness Watch on the market today for Runners (in our opinion). The Garmin Forerunner 255 features a more accurate heart rate monitor than the Venu 2 and or Fenix 7 (mentioned below). In addition to this the Forerunner 255 also boasts more accurate GPS with their “Multi-Band GPS” function. In a non-techy explanation, this allows you to sync up to more than one GPS satellite, which will make the GPS more accurate than other Fitness Watches on the market.

The Garmin Watch Straps used for this running watch are by no means the most stylish out there. You just need to ask yourself what is important to you when buying a Fitness Watch.

So if you are serious about your running or 2023 will be the year you are getting serious about your running, then if your budget allows for it, this is Fitstraps recommendation.

Garmin Fenix 7

The Garmin Fenix 7 wins the title of the Best Multisport Fitness Watch and what we are going to give the title of “the king of the outdoor fitness watch.” Whether you’re a CrossFit competitor smashing through the latest Workout of the day to a cyclist getting out there for an evening ride, Garmin’s Fenix 7 offering will be sure to have you covered. The problems we spoke of in the Apple Watch and the battery life are no-where to be found with the Fenix 7 as this Garmin Watch is said to be able to keep running for weeks in the correct conditions. So if this sounds like the sort of usage would use your fitness watch for, then the Fenix 7 may be an avenue to explore if your fitness watch budget allows for it.

The Garmin Watch Straps used in the Fenix 7 come in slightly on the thicker side but still hold up style wise against some of its more lightweight looking smartwatch competitors.  Although a slighter bulkier looking Garmin Watch Strap than in some of the Forerunner or Venu models it’s classic, looking metal buckle locking system and squared edges make it a great look for what it will be used for. Making the Watch match your own style is simpler than ever when you check out all our amazing Garmin Straps for the Fenix 7 here

So there you have it, if you’re in the market for a fitness watch, we hope these tips may have brought a few ideas to your horizons that you may not have considered previously and you may have even honed in one for next year. If not and you’ve opted to stick with what you know and keep you current watch, we’re here for you. You won’t find a better range of Replacement Straps for Fitbit, Apple Watch Straps or Garmin Straps anywhere else online.
